At $555, this mattress is the best deal out there at amazon.com. I bought this after reading all 13 previous reviews and they are all exactly right. The 5.5lb density is pretty firm- I was afraid at first it would be TOO firm. We are both bigger people around the middle, and we both LOVED sleeping on it. So feeling how firm it is with your hand can be a bit mis-leading- it is SUPER comfortable. I sleep all over- on my sides, on my back, and now with this king size memory foam mattress I can even sleep on my stomach, which hasn't been comfortable for me on a "regular" mattress since about high school. It's 2 layers: 3 inches of the elastic memory foam (which is body-heat sensitive- the latex memory foam is not) and then 7" of "High Resilience Polyurethane Base Foam." It expanded to full size very quickly. We slept on it about 3 hours after opening it and the smell that everyone talks about wasn't too bad.
This morning the smell was totally gone, and it wasn't that bad to begin with. The transfer of motion is almost totally gone as well. We used to sleep on a regular mattress with a memory foam topper, and I always thought that was "just as good." Trust me, it's NOT.

We were always waking each other up. Now we can both move around and the other one doesn't feel a thing, and therefore doesn't wake up. Even our dogs getting on and off the bed all night didn't wake me up. One thing to note is the warranty. It does not cover shipping costs, comfort (ie: if you don't like how firm or soft it is, too bad), does not cover the zipper, and is voided if the mattress is at all stained, scuffed, otherwise damaged, and if it was not kept on a flat solid surface (ie putting it on a slatted base or regular box springs will void the warranty). If you can check out what density you like at a local store beforehand that would probably be best. We lucked out and happened to like the firmness without knowing beforehand how it would be, so we won't be returning it anytime soon. Ours arrived on the first day of the shipping window, vacuum sealed, then wrapped in 3 layers of heavy plastic and tied with 4 straps. It was not damaged at all, and was really easy to un-wrap and lay out. We have absolutely no complaints. I'm recommending it to all our friends and anyone who reads this.

One last thing before I forget, as another review stated- memory foam and the base foam soak up spills like a crazy sponge. The reason we bought this was because our new dog peed on our old memory foam mattress pad, which was only 4 inches thick- and we just could NOT clean it. I tried EVERYTHING, and ended up basically SOAKING half the mattress pad in kids'n'pets cleaner, to no avail. It still smelled and was still stained. I can't BEAR the thought of spilling anything on the new king size memory foam mattress (seriously, even a little tiny spill will be obnoxious), so we are getting a plastic cover (which also cuts down on dustmites, which I am highly allergic to), and I recommend to anyone who buys this or any other memory foam product to get a plastic cover for it. Otherwise one tiny spill can ruin your investment.

Remember seeing all the memory foam ads with the handprint and the hand just above the print? Remember how they showed the print in the foam, how it takes a while for the print to disappear? Well, you won't get that with this pad.

I've done my research now, and turns out the density matters, yet most cheap ones don't advertise their density because it's low (higher density = better foam = more expensive). I believe someone estimated this pad's density at about 2 pounds/square foot. Premium quality is about 5 lb/sq ft. This low density pad won't keep your hand print, instantly returns to its shape as you pull of your hand. In fact, it is literally impossible under normal conditions to make a photograph with this foam topper like you see with other foam ads... its just too low quality. So yeah, the price is great, and yeah, if you want a bit of padding, it might do for you. But for me, on my ultra-firm (read: too firm) mattress, I wanted to soften it up with this, and the result was my entire ribcage hurt after an 8 hour sleep.

I tend to sleep on my stomach, but I toss and turn, so sometimes on my side, sometimes on my back. The other night, sleeping on my side, just the side I slept on, my ribcage on that side, ached all day. I had to by Tylenol to compensate for the new pad. I'm better off without the pad, so I'll be returning. I argue it isn't what you'd expect from memory foam, especially if you've sat in memory foam beds in the store, where they use premium foam of 5 lb/sq ft. Buyer beware!

Side note: I experienced very low smell, and it instantly expanded for full Queen size for me. I let it air out in my room with window open all day before putting it on the bed, underneath a waterproof mattress pad. I did flip it midway through the day when I was airing it out, but I just laid it on my bed to air out. I had no problems with odor or expansion.

One important thing that people need in their life aside from food, air and water is sleep. Getting a good night sleep is very important to each people because this is one way of gaining back their energy after working all day

It is nice to know that after a hard work in your office you'll go home with a warm comfortable bed. So choosing the right mattress for your bed is very important, some does not mind the price as long as the quality and comfort the mattress gives suit them.

Mattresses have many sizes one of this is the queen size mattress. A queen size memory foam mattress is approximately 80 inches long and 60 inches wide. It is 5 inches longer and 6 inches wider compared to a full sized mattress. This mattress is usually good for close quarters couples or a single that sprawls around the bed when he/ she sleep.

If you want to get yourself a queen size memory foam mattress for your bed then here are some tips and advice for you.

1. Bed Frame

You cannot simply place your queen size mattress on any bed frame you may have at home because it might not fit. If you have a standard sized double bed, your queen size mattress might be too big for the bed frame. You should check the size carefully before making purchase so as not to face the problem of having a mattress that does not fit your old bed frame. Ideally, your mattress should rest on a box set which is not only inexpensive but it provides you with the necessary foundation as well.

2. Mattress Make

Where the make of the mattress is concerned, it can be made of innerspring, memory foam or latex. What material you choose depend largely on your personal preference but a typical memory foam mattress can generally last for around 25 years or so. However, that is also dependent on whether you take good care of the mattress.
It will benefit you to learn that there are many options available when you are considering the bed sets, such as waterbeds, foam mattresses, airbeds, futons and adjustable beds, etc.

3. Budget

A queen size memory foam mattress will cost you between $300 to $1500 and the higher the quality is, the more it is going to cost you of course. Therefore, you need to set a budget first so that you can spend within your means.

4. Warranty

Since the mattress costs you a great deal of money, it usually comes with a warranty so before making your purchase, you should find out how long the warranty is and what areas does it cover. A queen size memory foam mattress of high quality is expected to last you over 10 years and thus should come with a 10-year warranty.

I purchased this wonderful memory foam mattress bed after weeks of reading reviews, comparing it to other beds, pricing, etc. I am so very glad I decided to purchase this bed. I love it! A good night's sleep is worth a lot, and the price of this, well I just could not believe it!

I just had one problem and it was entirely MY fault! I had mistakenly ordered the wrong size bed. When I realized what I had done, I call Amazon and told them. I was told not to worry about anything. They reordered the RIGHT size bed for me and told me they were putting in a "Pick Up" call to UPS and they would send them the mailing label so I wouldn't be bothered. They also gave me a tracking number so I could check on it. The wrong bed arrived on Monday...UPS picked it up on Wednesday... it was delivered back on Friday...I was notified on Monday my credit card had been credited for the amount of the bed.

When the right memory foam mattress bed arrived, we were a little intimidated by the packaging. I had read it was very difficult to remove. Not really. It's all in where you begin to remove it. We unwrapped it on our screened front porch because we were expecting to leave it there for a couple of days because of the odor and for it to expand to its full shape. There again, not really. It had it's shape in a couple of hours and the odor, well you had to bury your face in the mattress to smell it. So we slept on our new bed that very night and it was the best sleep we'd had in years!
